John McCain all the way!

February 5, 2008 · Leave a Comment

This is my first posting and what better way to start it off than by talking about the American hero, Republican, and our next President, Arizona Senator John McCain. I’m going to keep this short overall, but please read on.

Today is Super Tuesday, the day when twenty-four states hold Republican and Democrats caucuses or primaries to select delegates to the national conventions where the two parties’ candidates will be nominated. Here in New York the polls will be opened from 12pm to 9pm and registered Republicans and Democrats will be heading to their local polling places.

People often ask me why I support McCain. Well, to be honest, it is his straightforward politics, staunch record of conservative values, and his lifetime of public service. He is a man who served 22 years with the U.S. Navy, spent years in a prison camp in Vietnam, and was elected as a Representative and Senator in the U.S. Congress.

Unlike Obama, who bases his campaign on false words like “hope” and “dreams,” McCain has a campaign built on strong, “common sense conservative” ideas that will make our country better and stronger. America is facing an enemy consisting of Islamic Extremists and rogue nuclear-bound Middle Eastern countries. America is also facing an economic crossroads and Americans are at a distrust with our government. Now is the time for a president who has courageous service, experienced leadership and bold solutions. That man is John McCain.

In my opinion, I’d like to see a McCain vs. Clinton election (hopefully that doesn’t come back to bite me in the ass). Republicans and independents will be easily united against Hillary and her range of socialist ideals.

And yes, humor-wise, I am wearing my lucky AE shamrock boxer-briefs today…Irish for McCain! There’s no shame. But, ultimately, with Rudy’s endorsement and strong poll numbers, I don’t think we need luck. I’m foreseeing a Johnny Mac victory here in New York against Mitt Romney.

Have a good day everyone!
