FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, May 21, 2007
Argyle, NY – This past Friday, May 18th, friends and supporters came out to support Kelly S. Eustis as he announced his plans to run for Argyle Town Councilman. The group met outside, near the Argyle Town Offices, to listen to the statement.
During the announcement, Eustis briefly talked about the issues that the campaign currently has a position on and will be looking into. One issue that he discussed was getting Argyle’s youth involved with local politics. “Understanding the issues that our town faces and looking at who represents them at the local level is something young people should take an interest in, especially those who are at the age of voting,” said Eustis. In addition, promoting economic development, creating more communication, and reviewing highway coverage were also addressed as major initiatives for the campaign.
The announcement was followed by an after-party to celebrate Eustis’ candidacy. More events are being planned throughout the campaign to get young people involved and talk about the issues with voters.
In the upcoming weeks, Eustis expects to continue to meet with local Republican leaders to discuss his run.
